Iranian film ‘Zar’, the country’s sole representative in horror movies section of Fajr International Film Festival, enjoys a poster before screening at the event.
The poster designed by Hamid Reza Baba-Beigi is related to the film directed by Nima Farahi which will be shown at the “Shadows of Horror” (Midnight Screenings) of the festival.
The movie narrates the story of a couple who goes to a haunted place in the northern part of Iran on their honeymoon, undergoing a horrific experience.
Notable among the cast are Hamid Reza Ghafari, Hadis Miramini and Samaneh Kavandi.
Established in 1982, Fajr International Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of the Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The 35th Fajr International Film Festival is scheduled to take place in the country’s capital of Tehran from April 21 through 28, 2017.
